25th January: Results from Borders Individual
The Championship section of the Borders Individual Chess Championship is wide open, after Dave Bogle beat Martin Wallace on Tuesday. No-one in that section has 100%, and no less than 5 players are now in serious contention.In the Minor section, John Moore won against Alan Armstrong last week - and this week Ian Thompson beat Martin Keen, overturning a 168 Elo point deficit. As you can see, we occupy a fairly spacious room above the main bar of the Town Arms. It is a friendly club, and we always welcome new chessplayers.
