21 May 2024: selkirk Championship: report by Kevin Poulton
One game was played tonight in the competition: Sam Cornwell won in a tightly contested game against Ian Thompson.
There are only two games left to play: Alan v Dave and Alan v Bill. Dave needs just a draw to win the 2024 title.
In another rated game, outwith the league Chris Nathan drew with Kevin Poulton.
The league as it stands:

05 Apr 2024: John Moore is champion
The fifth round of the Borders Individual Championship (Minor section) saw two key results: John Moore defeated Gala's Keith Robinson; and Alistair Gray and Logan Symons drew their game. Alistair had been the only player who could catch John Moore, and so John is the new champion. Congratulations to the Selkirk Captain!

04 Apr 2024: Curry night at the Taste of Spice
Our annual curry night was held on Thursday 04 April in the Taste of Spice, and (as always) the food and drink were first class. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in one of the best restaurants in the area.
The Taste of Spice is in Market Place, Selkirk, and offers a wide selection of Indian and other food.
