13 May:  Martin Wallace is Borders Champion; Selkirk u-1200 completed

13 May 2025: Winner with a round to spare

Martin Wallace has secured the Borders Individual Championship by beating Alan Armstrong in the last round.  Martin finished on 4½ points, and in fact had already won with a round to spare:  his nearest rivals were Gordon Christie and Ian Whittaker, both on 3 points.  Congratulations to Martin on a very impressive victory. 13 May 2025: Sam Cornwell under-1200 Selkirk Champion

Another tournament was decided this week:  the Selkirk under-1200 championship.  Sam Cornwell is the new champion, with a score of 5/6.  Tam Wylie and Kevin Poulton were 2nd and 3rd, with scores of 4½ and 4 respectively.  Well done to Sam, and you can read a report by Kevin Poulton on the Club News page...
